CTET February 2026 — What You Need to Know

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 7 & 8 February 2026, with a re-exam at selected centres in Bihar on 1 March 2026. More than 25.30 lakh candidates registered across 1,803 centres in 140 cities, making it one of the highest-turnout CTET cycles in recent years.

The provisional answer key was published on 12 March 2026, and the objection/OMR challenge window closed on 15 March 2026. CBSE will release the final answer key alongside the result, expected in the last week of March 2026.

Once CBSE activates the result link on ctet.nic.in, follow these steps to access and save your scorecard:

Open your browser and go to the official CTET portal: ctet.nic.in.

On the homepage, click "CTET February 2026 Result" or "21st CTET Result February 2026" from the latest updates section.

Enter your Application Number / Roll Number and Date of Birth (or password) in the login fields.

Complete the captcha verification and click Submit / View Result.

Your scorecard will appear showing subject-wise marks, total score, percentage, and qualifying status for each paper attempted.

Download the PDF scorecard and take 2–3 printouts. Store it safely — this document will be needed for all future teacher recruitment applications.

Paper Structure & Marking Scheme

CTET is conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode. There is no negative marking. Questions are bilingual (English & Hindi), except in the language-specific sections. Each paper carries 150 marks over 2 hours 30 minutes.

Cut-Off & Category-wise Passing Threshold

To earn the CTET eligibility certificate, a candidate must score at least 60% marks (90 out of 150) in the respective paper. Reserved categories receive relaxation as notified by the Government of India. Qualifying CTET makes you eligible to apply for teacher recruitment — it does not guarantee a job by itself.

When will the CTET February 2026 Result be declared?
The result is expected in the last week of March 2026. CBSE will announce the exact date on ctet.nic.in. No prior SMS or email confirmation is sent — check the portal directly.
What are the minimum marks needed to qualify?
